At a great stage of life, his children grown and launched, Dr. Lovingier gets to spend a lot of time with his wife, Jan, who was his high school sweetheart. They enjoy dating each other, hiking, playing golf and snow skiing. Dr. Lonnie and Jan have three grown children. Kevin, an ex-professional baseball player of ten years, is now a sheriff in Wichita raising three of Dr. Lovingier’s seven grandchildren. Alicia is in full-time missionary work, living and managing an orphanage in Tijuana. With her husband, they are raising the other four of Dr. Lovingier’s grandchildren in Mexico. His third grown child is Lynn, who, after playing volleyball for four years at the University of Tennessee and then working in the dental office for several years, is now a Registered Nurse and working at Saddleback hospital.
