STEPHANIE ARREOLA, RDA
Back Office Coordinator
I have been a member of the South OC team since 2006. I love working alongside the doctors and staff and the best part of my job is being able to have fun with the kids. I also enjoy spending time with my two daughters and my two dogs.
Passion is a matter of the heart. I find my heart full every day at South OC. My patients, doctors, and colleagues are my reason to wake up each and every day with a smile. I also enjoy the opportunity to give not only just monetarily but that of my time and best efforts with Answering for the Children in Uganda and Grace Children’s home in Mexico. The children are our future and I want to make sure I do everything I can to make them successful!
CATHY DOESBURG, RDA
I was born in Hawaii but raised in San Clemente. I am the old timer of the group, almost here from the beginning, back in 1975. South OC is family and I have built lifetime friendships. My husband Rick and daughter Cari round out my family. When I am not working you can find me helping out my husband on our sport fishing boat the “Fury” in Dana Point or riding sand rails, motorcycles, camping, salt water fishing, jet skiing, water skiing, gardening, and growing plumerias. I like to work with children because I enjoy their humorous stories and getting the opportunity to watch them grow up through our practice.
LIZZETTE FARIAS, RDA
In 2006, I became a member of the South OC team. Working here is so much fun. Not only do I get to work with little ones, who brighten my day with their cute and different personalities, but I also get to work with our awesome doctors! The girls at the office are like family. I love to spend quality time with my husband, two children, and our dog. One of my favorite places to visit is Legoland because making great and fun memories is so important to me!
MOON FOSSUM, RDA, CDA
I started at South OC in 2006. This is the only dental office I have worked in and I call it my home away from home. I love the doctors and my coworker friends! It is very fulfilling to be able to take away patients anxieties and watch them grow in their confidence when going to the dentist. When not at work, I enjoy being in the car with my coffee while listening to classic radio shows.
NIKKI GARCIA, RDA
I’ve been part of the South OC team since 2018! Growing up I knew I always wanted to work with kids and I fell in love with pediatric dentistry. The best part of working here is seeing how excited our patients get about their visit! Outside of the office I spend my free time with my niece and nephew, taking my puppy to the beach, or at the gym!
VERONICA HERNANDEZ, RDA
Born and raised in Orange County, I have been in the dental field for more than 16 years. The best part of my job is teaching kids how to brush their teeth and seeing them smile after each visit. I am a nerd at heart and when I am not at work, I love going to renaissance fairs, Comic-cons, and Disneyland. I hope to always work with kids because I love what I do.
MELISSA JOHNSTON, RDA
When I was hired in 1998, I never knew that the staff at South OC would become my extended family for almost 20 years. I have enjoyed so many outside activities with them from get-togethers and concerts to even working out together. The thing that I enjoy most about working here is watching a new patient walk in the door so fearful of the unknown and then seeing them leave the office happy and excited. They have their hands full with a prize, a toothbrush, stickers, and photos from our photo booth. I feel so blessed to be here.
MAHNAZ LARRY, RDA
I have almost ten years’ experience working with children in a pediatric dental office and I joined the South OC team in 2016. My goal is to make a difference in the children’s lives by teaching them proper oral healthcare. My favorite patients are the ones that are scared at first. When I am able to warm them up and see the smiles on their beautiful faces, I feel that I have made a difference. Every child is unique and different techniques are required.
LYNNE MARIAN, RDA, CDA
South OC Pediatric Dentistry has been my “home away from home” since 1980. I love working with children because of their honesty and sense of humor. They always have something interesting to say and come up with the funniest stories! They are full of joy and make my heart happy. As a long term employee, I am grateful for the relationships that have been built over the years with patients, parents, co-workers, and our doctors (who, by the way, are the very best in the business!!). When I am not in the office, you can find me teaching at Orange Coast College in the dental assisting program or hanging out with my two grown children and my husband, and walking my pug and my Lhasa Apso.
MICHELLE MIRABELLA, RDA
Back Office Coordinator
I always wanted to go into a profession where I could work with children and I became a South OC team member in 2000. The best part of my day is when I see a child come into our office unsure of what to expect but leaves with a smile on their face. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four kids. I also enjoy going to country concerts, reading a good book, running, and doing Pure Barre. A little tidbit that you might not know about me is I’m a boba-holic. I have to get a boba drink almost every day!
Michael joined our team in June of 2019. His easy-going attitude and snappy sense of humor keeps our day light. Michael is also a jazz musician by trade and during his break time, we often find him working on his computer producing electronic music to further his music career, or watching and sharing cute video snippets of his sweet daughter. As a father himself, he displays his tender heart while interacting with the children in the practice. One of the many important front office duties that he holds, is being our liaison between the pediatric specialty and our oral surgery specialty. We are so lucky he chose South OC to be his home away from home.
LORNA O’NEILL, RDA
Front Office Coordinator
I started working at South OC in 1995 and there’s no place I’d rather be. It’s the best place to work and not to mention the best doctor’s to work for! I oversee the insurance and financial part of the practice. There is no need to explain how challenging this job can be with the constant changes in today’s dental insurance market. I do love what I do though! I was born in Guam and grew up in the lovely Monterey Bay area. I currently live in Mission Viejo. In my spare time, I enjoy classical piano, sewing, calligraphy, baseball, football, spending time with my family, and shopping… shopping… shopping!
BREE SALINAS, RDA
I have been working in the pediatric dental field for more than nine years and I joined South OC in 2016. I love my job because I enjoy working with kids. When I’m not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my children and my husband. My hobby is photography.
SARAH SPARKS, RDA
I began as an intern at South OC in January 2016 and quickly fell in love with the pediatric side of dentistry. I enjoy assisting the doctors, teaching our patients the importance of brushing and flossing, and easing any fears that the kids may have. Prior to earning my RDA, I obtained my B.S. from CSUF in 2006 and worked with preschool-aged children that have special needs for nine years. When I’m not at South OC, I enjoy going on adventures with my husband and our two kids.
NATALIE SWALL, RDH, RDA
Back Office – Hygienist
When Natalie joined our team back in 2012 she had just graduated from her dental assisting program and was a new RDA. She was an instant fit with our team. We were ecstatic when she announced that she wanted to further her education and become a hygienist. Off to hygiene school she went, and as soon as she completed her studies, we snapped her up and brought her back! She is gentle and kind and is very patient while working with her patients. Prior to her dental career, Natalie was a children’s gymnastic coach and being healthy and having an active lifestyle is important to her. When she is not at the office she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her new nephew. She is an asset to our office!
I have found my forever home here at South OC. We have the best team and I love that we share a love for all children. My other loves are my two grown children and food! I consider myself a culinary explorer.
NICK TRUONG, RDA
2004 was the year that Nick joined our team. Like a lot of our team members, Nick wears many hats in the office ranging from assisting the doctor, working with patients, maintaining our equipment, and supply ordering. He takes a genuine interest in our patients’ comfort level and the children respond well to his gentle demeanor. He is our “fix-it” guy and helps hold the back office together. When he is not multi-tasking at South OC you will find him playing video games and enjoying the latest culinary treat. He is a loyal team member and we wouldn’t be the same without him.
